In collaboration with local contractor Lepage Company, we were able to bring a Tigercat 6040 Carbonizer to the northern Sacramento Valley to address the overstock of hazardous vegetation in our forests while improving soil health. The Carbonizer converts vegetation into biochar. By redirecting this vegetation from "waste" into the production of biochar, and with proper application, we can support various local restoration efforts related to soil fertility and tree health in forests and agricultural lands, erosion control along slopes and near waterways, and sequester carbon to help mitigate extremes in climate .
