Counties

The Need

To help facilitate the planning process for individuals, independent managers, community groups, and local and regional governmental agencies, the TCRCD has amassed fire related project information in the vicinity of Glenn, Shasta, and Tehama Counties.  These projects are represented on separate maps by individual project numbers (see Map Section).  Related project information can be viewed in the project's database file.  Using the visual project information shown on these maps, project planners can visually demonstrate the relationship between their project and those projects that are in the planning process, in progress, or completed.

How to Use

At the upper left you will find the "Maps" heading, with a link to the "Project Overview Map" showing an index to the smaller, more detailed maps.   Once you find your area of concern on the overview map, locate the corresponding "Map Section Number" and the related map number.  For example, if you find your area to be just north of Manton, you will use "Map 2C."  The legend for the smaller maps can be viewed separately.  These maps are in PDF format, and can be printed at any size the user wishes to apply.   The project database file is in PDF format as well.  It is important that you also read the disclaimer prior to using the information provided here.

These projects are not static.  Projects are constantly being completed, proposed, and implemented.   If you use this database for your project, please send us your map, project description, and comment information so that we can keep this database current, and please keep us informed as the project proceeds through the planning stage through completion.
